How it works

  • Write one segment per line — laps of a track, levels of a game, stations of a circuit — and give the run a name.
  • Press Space to start, then again at the end of each segment. The current segment is highlighted.
  • vs PB shows how far ahead (green) or behind (red) you are at each split compared with your personal best run.
  • A segment faster than you've ever done it is a gold split. Sum of best adds up your best ever segments — the theoretical best run.
  • Finish faster than your personal best and it's saved as the new comparison automatically. Each run name keeps its own bests.

Questions

What is a gold split?

A gold split is a segment you completed faster than ever before. Stopwatch.ca keeps your best time for every segment of each run name.

What does sum of best mean?

It's the total of your best ever time for each segment — the run you'd have if every segment went as well as your best.

Where are my personal bests stored?

On your device, in your browser's storage, under the run name. Clear saved bests to start fresh.
