Interval timer

Work, rest, repeat. Pick a preset or set your own work, rest, rounds and sets — the timer calls each change out loud and beeps the last three seconds.

Totals exclude the get-ready countdown and the rest after the final round. Times accept 20, 0:20, 45s or 2m. Sets repeat the whole block of rounds with a longer rest between them — for example three Tabata sets with a minute between.

The work phase shows orange and rest shows blue, large enough to read across a room. Skip jumps to the next phase, and Keep screen on stops your phone sleeping mid-workout where the browser supports it.

Questions

What is a Tabata timer?

A Tabata round is 20 seconds of hard work followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated eight times — four minutes in all, counting the final rest. Choose the Tabata preset and press Start.

What does EMOM mean?

Every minute on the minute: you start a set of work at the top of each minute and rest for whatever is left of it. The EMOM preset beeps at each minute for ten minutes.

Can I hear the cues with my music playing?

Yes. Beeps and voice cues play through the browser alongside other audio; turn your music down a little if they're hard to hear.

Does the screen stay on?

With Keep screen on ticked, supported browsers keep the display awake while the timer runs.
